Recently, SERES and Chongqing Boao Magnesium-Aluminum Metal Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Boao Magnesium”), a subsidiary of Baowu Magnesium, has jointly held a launch ceremony for the mass production of Thixomolding automotive components.
The milestone marks a major step forward for China’s Thixomolding technology — moving from process feasibility to stable mass production.The project is the result of close collaboration across materials, equipment, and process technologies.

In this benchmark project, YIZUMI provides the UN3200MGⅡ·Plus Thixomolding machine together with its proprietary Yi+ "Thixomolding On-Site Steward Service", delivering stable production support throughout the project and earning recognition from both SERES and Boao Magnesium.

Daily output continued to increase, peaking at 660 parts per day.

More importantly, while meeting the stringent quality requirements for Thixomolding automotive components, the machine maintains a stable and controllable cycle time throughout production — enabling rapid mass-production ramp-up and full-capacity output from the very beginning.

1、Turbo high-speed injection system: The large-diameter high-speed servo valve controls the oil inlet valve opening with a 12ms rapid response time. The injection piston acceleration can reach up to 20G, paired with an ultra-large capacity accumulator, delivering powerful and efficient injection performance.
2、Eco energy-efficient melting technology: Utilizing European-standard special steel combined with infrared heating technology and high-torque servo drive, this technology achieves highly efficient and energy-saving melting with an extended service life.
3、High injection pressure and large shot capacity: With injection pressure up to 85 MPa and a theoretical maximum injection rate of 101,788 cm³/s (4 m/s), the machine enables fast and stable cavity filling for Thixomolding under high pressure, ensuring both molding efficiency and part density.
True productivity requires both efficiency and stability. The casting weighs just 6.6 kg — about 6 kg lighter than a traditional steel counterpart. More importantly, the lighter structure also contributes to improved body rigidity and overall vehicle safety.

Compared with conventional magnesium high-pressure die casting, its semi-solid molding process reduces energy consumption by 0.28 kWh/kg, a reduction of 33.7%. Even under the strict temperature requirements of semi-solid molding, the machine maintains efficient and stable long-term operation — supporting the industry’s growing focus on lower costs and higher efficiency.
